I have visited this resort four times in the last three years. A friend part owns the Cambrian Solis Hotel and a chalet in the village. It's a 2.5 hour drive from Geneva but most of it motorway so access is pretty straightforward. The village is quiet and traditional so it's not for the party types. The skiing is not extensive but good for a three or four day trip. The pistes comprise mostly interesting reds and a few blacks which while quite entertaining are not the hardest. The slopes were generally free of much traffic. It's not a big holiday destination so if the locals don't turn up (and they don't during the week or if the weather is not great) you can have the resort to yourself. I was there in mid January. There were no queues for the lifts and we moved freely through the resort. The pistes are very well groomed with plenty of opportunity for big carving turns. A good location for a short break and no partying.
